The V&A waterfront provides many different activities. The Two Oceans Aquarium and Mineral worlds scratch patch and cave golf are great for the kids. De Waal Park
De Waal Park is on Camp Street, which you can access from Kloof Nek as well as Kloof Street. The Park is perfect for a lazy afternoon either picnicking, playing games like frisbee or hula hooping and dog walks. They also offer free concerts from some amazing Local bands, check them out.
Green Point Park
It is free and is a great place to take a picnic, go for walks and just relax. There are also different activities for kids to do like going to the kids’ park or having some fun on the exercise machines.
Sea Point Promenade
The promenade is a loved area and is an amazing place for walks, jogging and photo opportunities. Public art exhibits are often on display, free yoga, soccer games, frisbee and an outdoor gym are also some ideas you can take part in. You can even hire a bike at the end of the promenade or end of with some food from the food huts.
Muizenberg is a great place to surf, grab some food and go swimming. On the Sunday closest to the full moons, they have a moonlight walk at 6pm and you can also do a tour around the streets through Voicemap which is a mobile app.
You can go spot hippos, eland and watch birds at this amazing nature reserve. There is even a museum.
You can off start in Company’s Gardens and make your way to St Andrew’s Square. There is a variety of activities like art, walking tours, photo exhibitions, an Instawalk and outdoor library with book readings for kids.
Blue Rock is in Somerset West. You can have picnics, go swim in the lagoon and jump of rocks into the lagoon. They are numerous sporting activities like cable skiing or paintballing but this costs extra.
